How should the radar level gauge be maintained?

The radar level gauge is a highly reliable non-contact water level gauge. The measured value is not affected by the temperature, viscosity, density, and dielectric constant of the measuring medium (except for the interface measurement). The radar wave can penetrate various bubbles, smoke, and steam media for accurate liquid level measurement. Therefore, these characteristics of the radar level gauge are widely used in water level measurement under various complex working conditions. Although the liquid level measured by the radar level gauge is very stable and reliable, it is still necessary to do a good job of maintenance in daily use. However, many users do not know how to maintain the radar level gauge, so it is necessary to introduce:

Generally speaking, the following points should be paid attention to in order to do a good job in the daily maintenance of the radar level gauge:

First, the temperature of the meter head

Temperature of the gauge head: In general, the operating temperature inside the gauge head of the radar level gauge cannot be higher than 65 ℃. If the temperature of the measured medium is very high, the operating temperature may exceed 65 ℃. If the temperature is too high, the components inside the meter head will be affected. You can use a copper pipe to blow the wind into the meter head through the rain cap to achieve the purpose of cooling. However, it should be noted that wind rather than water or other liquids should be used for cooling.

Secondly, supply voltage and output current

For routine maintenance, pay attention to check whether the power supply voltage and output current are normal. It generally takes 30~60 minutes to work normally and stably after the instrument is powered on. However, if there is no voltage or current output after putting into use, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the power supply is really connected or whether the fuse is blown. If the short-term power failure does not exceed 2 months, it is generally not necessary to cut off the power supply of the instrument.

As the whole system of the radar level gauge is sealed and the equipment and the radar level gauge are integrated, the sealing condition of the connection of each component should also be a key work of the routine inspection.

For the cleaning of water drops and dirt on the quartz window, if the output of the meter is always at the maximum value when the radar level gauge is using the meter, it is likely that there are water drops under the time window of detecting the return signal. Generally speaking, flushing with water will work normally. If the timely crystal is stained with materials or dirt, it needs to be cleaned in time, but the following methods should be paid attention to:

1. Specific operation method: first close the ball valve, then remove the lower cover and quartz window flange, wipe the surface of the glass with cotton cloth dipped in alcohol, gasoline and other solvents, and dry the glass.

2. Precautions for cleaning: Do not use alkaline solvent to scrub and remove the fixing screws of the timing window, and do not use metal pliers to avoid damaging the spraying layer on the surface of the timing window. After reassembling the quartz window flange, it should be noted that the stainless steel spiral wound gasket should be replaced as required to avoid leakage.
